About the role:
We have a great opportunity for an individual to join our Real Estate Group in the Affordable Housing team as a Conveyancing Assistant at our Birmingham office on a 9-month fixed term contract.
Our conveyancing specialists handle a high volume of transactions, including shared ownership sales and resales, extra care and retirement schemes, staircasing, lease extensions, enfranchisement, right to buy/right to acquire disposals, land disposals, buy‑backs and auction sales, ensuring smooth, efficient and well‑managed outcomes for our clients.
As a Conveyancing Assistant, you’ll be supporting our Conveyancers in managing volume plot sales and residential property transactions for registered providers. Your responsibilities will include assisting with transactions, maintaining accurate records, and helping ensure a smooth and efficient process for our clients.
About you:
We are looking for someone who enjoys working as part of an inclusive, collaborative and supportive team, where everyone contributes to shared success and growth. Previous experience within a legal environment would be beneficial, but is not essential.
In this role, you will need to remain calm under pressure and manage a busy workload effectively by prioritising tasks and responding to competing demands. You will work closely with colleagues, including as part of wider project teams, supporting Transaction Processing Services team members in managing high‑volume work.
The role will involve carrying out searches, research and analysis, responding to a wide range of enquiries, and communicating confidently with colleagues, clients, agents and other contacts both verbally and in writing. You will be expected to use initiative to solve problems and resolve queries, while maintaining strong financial hygiene and using finance reporting and billing systems with confidence.
What We Can Offer You:
The opportunity to work for a firm which has been recognised as one of the best places to work in the UK and has been ranked by Great Place to Work for 26 consecutive years.
Excellent benefits, including:
1. 25 days annual leave, with the option to buy up to a week's extra annual leave
