Long Term Futures are recruiting on behalf of a supportive and progressive secondary school, seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is a long-term position, with the opportunity to move into a permanent role following a successful placement.
As a HLTA, you'll work closely with teaching staff to deliver learning activities, lead small groups or classes, and support pupils in achieving their full potential. You'll also take on a mentoring role with other support staff and play an active part in wider school life.
Job Requirements
* HLTA qualification (or willingness to complete it within two years)
* GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths - minimum Grade C/4
* Previous experience working in a secondary school
* Sound understanding of the national curriculum
* Experience supporting pupils with SEND, EAL or behavioural needs
* Confident using ICT to support learning and planning
* Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
