Healthy Child Programme Practice Educator – Full‑time (37.5 hr)
Foster an environment that values education as part of the philosophy of the practice area.
Support the development of appropriate skills within Health Visiting, School Nursing and Immunisation teams to effectively deliver the Healthy Child Programme.
Implement local and national policies for children’s services across age 0‑19, promote standardised working practices, and undertake regular training needs analysis and continuous development plans.
Support recruitment, oversight of student placements (including specialist practice teachers), induction for students and new starters, and establish links with academic institutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with team leaders to support excellence in clinical practice and facilitate quality service delivery for children, young people and families.
* Provide clinical supervision and advice, plan induction and preceptorship programmes, teach, assess and support revalidation for NMC registered staff.
* Develop new policies, standards and operational frameworks to support integrated working practices.
* Conduct annual audits and evaluate clinical areas to improve service users’ experience and appropriate resource use.
