Job Title: Agile Delivery Manager – Public Healthcare
Location: 1-2x/week in Leeds
Rate: £550/day Inside IR35
Duration: 3 Months, likely to extend.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Agile Delivery Manager with a strong track record in leading digital delivery within public healthcare settings. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-impact, user-centred digital services that improve outcomes.
You’ll lead cross-functional teams through the full delivery lifecycle, enabling them to thrive in fast-paced, agile environments. Your experience in the NHS or wider public health sector will ensure you bring a deep understanding of the unique challenges and priorities in this space.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coach multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality digital products and services
* Remove blockers and enable effective delivery using agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe etc.)
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders across clinical, operational, and technical teams
* Ensure delivery aligns with organisational goals, policy, and user needs
* Promote continuous improvement and foster a culture of feedback, collaboration, and learning
* Manage budgets, risks, and dependencies across multiple workstreams
* Support planning and reporting, including roadmaps, metrics, and governance
Essential Experience
* Proven experience as a Delivery Manager or similar role in agile environments
* Direct experience working in or alongside public healthcare organisations (e.g. NHS trusts, ICSs, DHSC, NHS Digital)
* Skilled in agile frameworks and delivery tools (e.g. Jira, Trello, Miro, Confluence)
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills at all levels, including clinical and policy leads
* Excellent communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills
* Familiarity with GDS service standards and delivery phases (Discovery to Live)
Desirable
* Experience with data-driven or digital transformation programmes in healthcare
* Scaled agile delivery across multiple teams
* Agile certifications (Scrum Master, SAFe, etc.)
