About the Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping students with SEN access learning and reach their potential. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to implement individualised learning plans, support classroom activities, and provide guidance to students on both academic and personal development.
Responsibilities
* Support students with SEN in the classroom, helping them engage with lessons effectively.
* Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor progress.
* Assist with personal care if required, maintaining dignity and comfort.
* Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
* Promote positive behaviour, well-being, and social development.
* Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents regarding student progress.
Qualifications
* Experience working with students with SEN, preferably in a school setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, adaptable to different learning needs.
* Ability to follow instructions and collaborate with teachers and support staff.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to working with children with diverse needs.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply) and awareness of safeguarding procedures.
