Key Stage 3 Teacher
TLTP is recruiting for a Special Needs Key Stage 3 Teacher with extensive experience teaching a range of subjects to KS3 and low-level learners. The position is based in North West London, with a start date in September 2025.
This secondary school caters to children with SEBD, ASD, and SEMH. Candidates with some SEN experience are encouraged to apply. Teachers should have secondary or primary experience in special needs education.
The teacher will be responsible for delivering a variety of subjects to KS3 learners, ensuring progress across their specialisms and subjects.
Responsibilities include coordinating a team of Therapeutic Education Practitioners (Learning Mentors), providing direct teaching, and supporting pupils holistically using social care and teaching strategies to meet their needs while promoting safety and well-being.
Lessons should be pupil-focused and creative, delivered according to the timetable, including cover lessons when necessary. The teacher will support class teachers in delivering subjects up to GCSE level and help pupils understand English in various contexts.
Differentiation of the National Curriculum to meet ASC/SEMH needs, and devising Individual Education, Behaviour, and Integration Plans (IEBIP) with SMART targets, are key aspects of the role.
The teacher will identify pupils needing specific interventions, in collaboration with SLT, PCC, clinical teams, and practitioners, supporting the implementation and monitoring of targeted programmes.

* Experience teaching KS3 SEMH students in a special needs setting
* Strong behaviour management skills (SEMH/ASD/EBD)
