Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £24,335 per annum
Job Type: Permanent
Annual Leave: 20 days plus bank holidays & five office closure days
Location: Hybrid: Dereham (3 days/week) & remote (2 days/week)
Pension: 4.5% Contribution

We’re looking for a compassionate, proactive Energy Adviser to support individuals and households with energy-related advice.
About the Role
As an Energy Adviser, you will provide comprehensive advice and support across a range of energy-related issues. A key part of your role will be helping people navigate the challenges of rising energy costs, understanding their bills, accessing grants or discounts, and improving energy efficiency in their homes. You may also help with broader issues such as debt, benefits, and housing.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide one-to-one advice sessions in person, by phone, or online.
· Support clients with energy-related issues such as:
o Understanding energy bills and tariffs
o Switching suppliers
o Accessing fuel vouchers or hardship funds
o Improving home energy efficiency
· Signpost or refer clients to specialist services where needed.
· Keep accurate records and contribute to monitoring and reporting.
· Stay up to date with relevant legislation, schemes, and local support options.
Experience in advice work or energy support is desirable but not essential. About you:

· A great communicator and active listener
· Empathetic, non-judgmental, and solution-focused.
· Organised and able to manage a varied caseload.
· Willing to learn about energy advice- with full training provided.
