Offer description

Are you an experienced care professional ready to step into a leadership role? We're looking for a compassionate, driven, and highly organised Care Supervisor to join our growing team, someone who leads by example and is committed to delivering outstanding homecare. At Bluebird Care, everything we do starts with people. Our customers trust us to keep them safe, comfortable, and supported in their own homes. As a Care Supervisor, you'll be the person making sure that promise is kept – every visit, every day.

About Bluebird Care

We are the biggest private home care provider in the UK & Ireland and are proud to operate across two territories in the West Midlands: Bluebird Care Solihull, Bluebird Care Birmingham West. Together, our branches form one close-knit team with a shared mission: to provide safe, effective, and genuinely person‑centred homecare that allows our customers to live well in their own homes. We are proud to develop our people from within, and we invest in our staff at every level.

Responsibilities

* Report directly to the Registered Care Manager and work collaboratively with the whole care management team to oversee services across all territories.
* Work hands‑on in an office‑based role that supports the customer experience and operational delivery.
* Carry out new customer sign‑ups and risk assessments, create and agree on individually tailored care and support plans, keep plans up to date and keep customers and families well informed.
* Give care assistants information, guidance and supervision to deliver safe, high‑quality care; match support workers to customers; attend first calls to make introductions; notify all relevant parties of schedule changes.
* Distribute, collect and monitor MAR charts; support training and development of care assistants; arrange staff change‑overs and briefings for live‑in assignments.
* Participate in the out‑of‑hours emergency on‑call rota, manage on‑call issues, arrange cover for sickness, attend or coordinate calls and record emergency information.
* Investigate service quality matters, conduct quality reviews at customers’ homes and drive meaningful improvements; apply company policies and procedures and record, report and act upon accidents and incidents in line with regulatory requirements.
* Lead staff and customer meetings, work flexibly to meet business needs and collaborate with health and social care professionals, customers’ families and colleagues across all branches.

Qualifications and Experience

* Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or working towards a Level 3 minimum).
* Experience working in a care setting.
* Strong understanding of person‑centred care and support planning.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with customers, families and professionals.
* Confidence in leading and supporting a team of care assistants.
* Ability to write clear risk assessments, care plans and records.
* Good IT and administrative skills.
* Willingness to participate in the out‑of‑hours on‑call rota.
* A full UK driving licence and Class 1 business insurance (valid MOT required). Ability to obtain an Enhanced DBS clearance; all applicants will be required to consent to an Enhanced DBS disclosure.

You won’t just be managing a caseload. You’ll be the reassuring presence our customers and care assistants rely on, the person who spots a problem before it escalates, and a key driver of the quality that makes Bluebird Care a premium care provider.

Working Hours

8:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday – Friday (office hours). On occasion, you may be required to work outside of these hours (non‑office hours).

What We Offer

* Competitive salary from £25,000 per annum.
* On‑call remuneration.
* Access to Health and Social Care qualifications to support your professional development.
* Paid annual leave.
* Workplace pension scheme.
* Uniform provided.
* Clear career progression pathways into senior or management roles.
* A supportive, collaborative team culture where you are valued from day one.
