Head of Employee Relations Type of job: Permanent Location: Hybrid (2 days from Nottingham NG2) Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 Car Allowance Bonus Here’s a job that you won’t see very often - Staffline are on the lookout for a Head of Employee Relations to support, nurture and drive an already highly skilled and cohesive team. Not too many specialist ER roles exist at this level, especially one that will be coming in to look after a team which has had such strong stability over the last 5 years and can show real progression in personal capability, value to the business and team size. So, what do you need to be successful in this role? Well, coming into such a team is going to require a soft touch, someone who can really win the hearts and minds of others and build on what has already been established. Of course, you’ll have to be an expert in Employee Relations and someone who is driven by data and detail. What you’ll do as Head of Employee Relations This is an incredibly diverse role which will make the most of your skillset. Below is just a flavour of what you can expect: Have a strong technical ER knowledge that covers the full breadth of employee relations, including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, TUPE, ACAS, and employment tribunals. Accountable for all People legal cases, including ACAS, tribunals or any regulatory matters working with our external legal partners as required Lead on high-risk or highly complex ER cases, ensuring that risks are identified and flagged to appropriate senior stakeholders Accountable for the management of TUPE activity from an ER perspective, ensuring the safe and legal transfer colleagues including redundancy Leading a brilliant ER team, to continue to successfully deliver a full ER service for flexible workers and permanent employees Building great relationships with senior stakeholders across the business to deliver a proactive and credible ER service Accountable for the annual review process of existing People Policies and for the delivery of new policy development, that takes account of employment law and industry best practice. Raises new case law and legislation changes to relevant senior stakeholders in a timely way with potential company impacts Strong, confident and self-motivated leader, with good listening skills who can coach, advise, and influence stakeholders of all levels Have good analytical skills with the ability to interpret data in a meaningful way that helps to drive insight and action Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload and maintain a high level of attention to detail Why choose Staffline and what’s in it for you? Ideally you’ll come from a fast paced industry such as; high volume temporary recruitment, retail, warehousing, logistics etc. You’ll be driven by detail, able to tell the story of data in a way that stakeholders understand.
