Role Summary
The Finance Operations Assistant (Claims) supports the effective financial management of Tedaisy by implementing processes that ensure compliance with regulations and enhance operational accuracy and efficiency
Responsibilities
* Adhere to and promote the Company’s financial procedures and compliance standards
* Coordinate and execute Claims financial transactions and activities, such as payment of invoices, and ensuring all customer premiums are up to date
* Maintain accurate financial records for claims using internal systems and spreadsheets
* Checking customer premium payments and support refunds for overpayments
* Arranging recovery of claim overpayments, ensuring leakage is under 1%
* Collaborate with other teams to resolve financial discrepancies and errors
* Respond to financial queries from colleagues, clients, and stakeholders professionally and accurately
* Assist in preparing regular claims financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
* Identify financial trends, irregularities, or errors through data analysis
* Support automation initiatives for streamlining claims payments
* Participate in audits by providing necessary data and insights
Experience, Qualifications & Skills
* Working knowledge of financial processes within the insurance industry (or similar), with an understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements
* Maths GSCE or equivalent
* Previous experience in a finance or insurance operations role (e.g. Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, or similar) is preferable
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
* Confident in using Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet tools to manage and analyse data
* An analytical mindset with the ability to identify discrepancies and trends
* A proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving and team interaction
