The Role
As a Panel Beater, you will be responsible for repairing and replacing damaged vehicle body panels to a high standard, following job cards and repair instructions. This role may also involve chassis and structural repairs, working within a professional bodyshop environment where quality, safety, and efficiency are key.
Key Responsibilities
1. Repair or replace damaged panels in line with job cards and repair methods
2. Carry out panel repairs using jigs, fixtures, welding equipment, and hand tools in line with your level of qualification
3. Undertake chassis and framework repairs where required
4. Follow manufacturer repair methods, technical literature, and modification bulletins
5. Attend training courses where necessary to stay up to date with new repair techniques and product developments
6. Handle vehicles, tools, and equipment with care, maintaining a clean and safe working environment
7. Adhere to all housekeeping, health and safety, and workshop procedures at all times
8. Support the wider bodyshop team to ensure production targets and quality standards are achieved
Experience & Requirements
9. Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Panel Beater
10. ATA accreditation preferred but not essential
11. Strong knowledge of body repair techniques and vehicle structures
12. Ability to work accurately from job cards and repair instructions
13. High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
14. A professional, safety-conscious approach to work
