A leading global engineering, design and environmental consultancy is seeking a Principal Ecologist to join our growing team in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile infrastructure and environmental projects across the UK.
Our client is an internationally recognised consultancy delivering sustainable solutions across infrastructure, energy, and the natural environment. Their UK ecology team is part of a wider environmental practice of over 500 specialists working on major projects and driving innovation in biodiversity, sustainability, and ecological policy.
The Role
* Lead and deliver ecological projects
* Manage programs and budgets
* Support multidisciplinary teams
* Oversee surveys, ecological impact assessments and mitigation design
* Contribute to client relationships and business development
Requirements
* Degree in Ecology or a related discipline
* Membership of CIEEM (or working towards chartership)
* Strong experience in UK ecology, surveys, and legislation
* Full UK driving licence
* Right to work in the UK
* Must live in or near the Bristol office
* Excellent project management and communication skills
