What will you be doing?
ALTEN UK is currently seeking a Technical Documentation Engineer to join one of our leading clients in the space sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a collaborative, high-paced environment and contributing to cutting-edge space projects.
Your main responsibilities will be:
* Develop and write clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation, including detailed engineering acceptance reports.
* Gather, compile, and verify data from multiple internal sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
* Collaborate closely with engineering, test preparation, and quality teams to maintain technical integrity across all reports.
* Identify, document, and communicate discrepancies or issues within the data collection and reporting processes.
* Propose and implement workflow improvements to enhance data collection, reporting efficiency, and quality standards.
* Ensure all deliverables meet customer requirements and internal quality standards.
Qualifications
Experience, skills and qualifications required:
* Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
* Proven experience in data analysis, technical reporting, or documentation within an engineering or high-technology environment.
* Experience with the engineering V- cycle including verification and validation.
* Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
* Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and data management tools
* Experience in aerospace, defence, or space systems environments is highly desirable.

This role will require you to have or be willing to go through Security Clearance.
