HSE Business Partner
Based in Carlton, Barnsley, S71 3HF - The home of Mr Kipling
Salary - £40,000 - £50,000 per annum
6 Month Fixed Term, Full time (39 hours per week, 08:30 - 17:00)
An opportunity for a 6 month fixed term contract has arisen at our Barnsley site for a HSE Business Partner to join the team. You will be responsible for leading the sites HSE framework, providing insight and guidance to improve the behavioural safety culture at Carlton.
The successful candidate will:
1. Advise and support colleagues and teams across the business, acting as a subject matter expert and offering a valuable partnership.
2. Work collaboratively with senior HSE professionals to make sure that the business is compliant with HSE regulations, challenging in a positive way when necessary to make sure we’re getting positive outcomes.
3. Work with our Operational Leads and Senior Leadership to make sure they meet our HSE Standards.
4. Engage with colleagues across all levels of the site to influence policies, frameworks, and any upcoming projects from an HSE perspective.
5. Support with ISO 14001 and 45001audits, customer, Sedex audits and legislative visits.
6. Working with HSE representative to engage and obtain colleague feedback.
7. Support on training and education across the site and support with competence building.
8. Support with Business continuity plan and incident controller training.
What we need from you:
9. Hold an industry recognised professional health and safety qualification (A) Chartered membership of IOSH or actively working towards attaining Chartered Status (A)
10. Experience of writing reports, policies, procedures and safe systems of work in an engaging style
11. Experience of using and implementing project management techniques
12. Experience of providing guidance/advice and addressing workplace concerns within an organisation at all levels
13. Experience of undertaking risk assessments.
14. Experience of developing, delivering and evaluating health and safety training.
