EMEA Finance Student Placement (Tax) – June 2026 Start (12 months)
Overview
We are seeking a 2nd‑year university student to join our EMEA Tax Planning team in Reading, United Kingdom, for a 12‑month placement (June 2026 – September 2027). The role offers hands‑on experience in tax planning, risk management, controversy, and M&A, while developing leadership, technical and communication skills.
Location & Work‑style

Reports To
Regional Senior Tax Manager, EMEA
Key Responsibilities
* Support ad‑hoc tax projects
* Coordinate with functional partners and document meeting outcomes
* Collect and analyze data for tax audit support and financial insights
* Map inter‑company relationships, functions and organisations
* Assist in inter‑company price‑setting and tax payment processes, working with compliance co‑source providers such as Deloitte
* Prepare presentation, training and knowledge‑sharing materials, and standard procedures
* Manage engagement with external advisors
Education & Qualifications
* Second year of a degree‑level programme, with at least 2 × 1 achieved in the first year
* Preferred fields: Accounting & Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Sciences, or Business‑related disciplines
Skills & Experience
* Strong analytical and learning abilities
* Problem‑solving and situational analysis skills
* Effective time‑management and prioritisation
* Proficient in English, both written and spoken
* Self‑motivated, ambitious and a confident communicator
* Excellent organisational skills
* Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
