HC-One is seeking a Maintenance Operative with solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning, and housekeeping. The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, and ideally some IT skills. Communication skills should be considerate and kind, especially when interacting with residents and co-workers.
The Maintenance Operative will ensure that our Residents live in a proactively inspected and well-maintained environment. Responsibilities include conducting audits, maintaining accurate records, and performing repairs such as replacing taps, fitting extractor fans, repairing timber on windows, or decorating with wallpaper, always with kindness.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. Candidates must be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond appropriately. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training and undertake additional role-specific training. The ability to seek advice and escalate concerns if necessary is essential.
