Milk Education is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join one of our partner schools in L9. This welcoming and supportive school is committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
The Role
Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
Start Date: November
Contract: Temporary (week-to-week) with the potential to progress into a longer-term role
This role is ideal for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to grow and develop in a forward-thinking Key Stage 2 environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons for Year 5 across the Primary Curriculum.
2. Support pupils’ academic progress and personal development with creative, inspiring teaching.
3. Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom atmosphere.
4. Track pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
5. Manage behaviour confidently and consistently.
6. Work closely with colleagues and parents to support each child effectively.
What We’re Looking For
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE with QTS
8. Strong understanding of the Primary Curriculum, particularly Key Stage 2
9. Excellent communication and behaviour-management skills
10. A creative, reflective, and adaptable approach to teaching
11. Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
