We’re looking for a friendly and detail-focused Operations Coordinator to join our Research & Innovation Services (RIS) team at Bournemouth University. RIS supports research, innovation, and enterprise activities across BU—and you’ll play a key role in keeping everything running smoothly. This is a varied role where you’ll work closely with the Finance & Systems Facilitator, helping to manage finance tasks, support digital systems, and coordinate day-to-day operations. If you enjoy solving problems, working with data, and making processes more efficient, we’d love to hear from you. What You’ll Be Doing Handling finance tasks like raising purchase orders, processing invoices, and setting up suppliers. Supporting internal funding schemes (e.g. HEIF, QR) with basic advice, allocations, and reporting. Keeping RIS systems up to date and accurate, and running regular data checks. Helping users with RIS systems (RED, REGO), including account setup and guidance. Managing financial activity across RIS, including year-end reviews, visa purchases, and expense claims. Organising travel, meetings, office logistics, and monitoring leave records. What We’re Looking For Someone who’s organised and pays attention to detail. Experience in admin or operations, ideally with finance systems. Comfortable working with data and digital tools. A clear communicator who enjoys working with others.
