IT Support Engineer (Contract)
Swindon (on-site with some UK travel)
3–6 Month Contract
£300–£400 per day (DOE)
We’re working with a growing engineering business that is looking to bring in an experienced IT Support Engineer on a contract basis to support their UK operations.
This is a hands-on, site-based role where you’ll be supporting day-to-day IT across the business, while also getting involved in ongoing upgrades and improvements.
What you’ll be doing:
* Providing 1st and 2nd line support across desktops, laptops and mobile devices
* Troubleshooting hardware, software and basic network issues
* Managing users and devices within Active Directory and Microsoft 365
* Supporting onboarding and offboarding of users
* Carrying out patching, upgrades and general maintenance
* Assisting with device rollouts and IT improvements
* Supporting multiple UK sites when required
What they’re looking for:
* Experience in a 1st/2nd line IT Support or Desktop Support role
* Good knowledge of Microsoft environments (Active Directory, Microsoft 365)
* Comfortable working in a hands-on, on-site environment
* Able to work independently and manage workload effectively
* Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
* Full UK driving licence preferred
