Overview At Powertutors UK, we are seeking dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEND Tutors to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. About the Role As a Powertutors Tutor, you will provide personalised one-to-one sessions that help students reach their full potential. You will adapt lessons to meet individual needs, support academic growth, and nurture confidence. Tutor required to support a KS 4 student primarily with Maths, English & Science subjects - Biology, Chemistry and Physics Young man with neurodiverse needs requiring a patient and consistent tutor who is familiar with SEND teaching and adaptable to his needs. 14 hours a week (5 Maths, 3 English, 2 Biology, 2 Chemistry, 2 Physics) Special Educational Needs and Disabilities: Autism Spectrum Disorder ASD Severe anxiety, particularly related to school settings, social expectations, and being noticed Demand avoidance when overwhelmed Sensory sensitivities (especially to noise and busy environments) Difficulties with transitions, change, and uncertainty Executive functioning difficulties associated with ADHD (organisation, focus, task initiation) What We're Looking For We are looking for tutors with proven experience in education, whether in SEND tutoring, classroom teaching, or learning support. You should have strong knowledge in your subject area, excellent communication skills, and a patient and adaptable approach. Empathy and consistency are essential. You will need an Enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to obtain one. Experience supporting neurodiverse children is highly desirable.
