Overview
Phlebotomist role at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust. Based primarily at County Hospital, with work at community clinics and the phlebotomy suite in the Out Patients Department. Some work at Royal Stoke Hospital may be required. Full training will be provided; no previous experience is required.
Responsibilities
* Collect quality blood samples from patients for medical investigations.
* Work as part of the phlebotomy team across multiple locations in North Midlands (hospital wards, community walk-in centres, and appointment-based clinics).
* Maintain attention to detail and accurate record-keeping; basic keyboard skills are helpful.
* Provide a high standard of customer service and communicate effectively with patients and staff in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications and Skills
* No prior phlebotomy experience required; full training provided.
* Good communication skills and ability to work well with people.
* Enjoy working in a patient-facing role; capable of handling a fast-paced environment.
Work Pattern
* Work pattern 1: 5 x 5-hour shifts, variable start/finish times on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
* Work pattern 2: 4 x 5-hour shifts, variable start/finish times on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.
Location Details
Based at County Hospital; ward-based work with community clinics and phlebotomy suite at County Hospital Out Patients Department. Occasional work at Royal Stoke Hospital may be required.
