ROLE – Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
SALARY - £40,000- £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
TYPE – Permanent
LOCATION – Warrington
My client is a specialist manufacturer of products and Engineering solutions. They are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in the Warrington area on a permanent basis.
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
* HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Design / Engineering Design or similar
* 5 or more years’ industry experience ideally working in a similar industrial design / development role within a manufacturing environment
* Proficient with using SolidWorks or similar CAD software for design
* Confident knowledge of a variety of mechanical processes
* Experience working with rubber, polymer, hydraulics, and machinery
* Experienced designing products from concept to production
* Innovative and passionate about design
* Be technically minded with a head for problem solving
* Able to work well individually as well as part of a team
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:
* Design and development of various custom products
* Ensuring 3D design solutions and engineering drawings are completed for all New Product Development projects
* Getting hands on with machinery and other areas of the business
* Using CAD for design on a day-to-day basis
* Developing ideas from concept to production
* Creating models/prototypes
* Collaborating with different departments to ensure the smooth delivery of projects
* Maintaining technical drawings and documentation
* Providing technical guidance and support
* Supporting product Testing, Verification & Validation
* Supporting Junior team members and providing guidance
