Capacity Coordinator | Spire Murrayfield - Edinburgh | Permanent | Full time

Spire Murrayfield Hospital have an excellent opportunity for a Capacity Coordinator to join their busy team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will assist the Capacity and Utilisation Manager to optimise the utilisation of theatre sessions, outpatient clinics and imaging units across the two Edinburgh sites.

Duties:

1. To support Capacity and Utilisation Manager in optimising theatre lists to achieve AOP IP/DC Revenue targets, proactively filling gaps
2. To support Capacity and Utilisation Manager in optimising consultant clinic lists to achieve AOP Outpatient revenue, proactively offering available capacity to Consultants
3. To assist with tracking consultant annual leave and other absences, ensuring all relevant teams are made aware.
4. Providing a single point of contact for consultant and third party referrers requiring rapid access to our outpatient, radiology and surgical services
5. To ensure a seamless referrer and patient journey, by following each patient from initial contact to booking and following up if any further treatment is required
6. Working alongside Capacity and Utilisation Manager to proactively offer outpatient, radiology and theatre capacity to consultants where there are gaps
7. To ensure effective partnerships with consultants, third party referrers and medical secretaries increasing Consultant engagement whilst contributing to delivery of utilisation targets for theatres and outpatients
8. Practice and maintain a high standard of confidentiality at all times and exercise absolute discretion in the use of all patient, consultant and staff information
9. Adhere to the hospital Health and Safety policy as well as any other relevant policies
10. Carry out any other duties that may reasonably fall within the general nature and level of responsibility of the role

13. Ability to work under pressure whilst meeting tight deadlines
14. Experience of working in a customer orientated role
15. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
