Programme Essentials
To join one of our 12-month Internships you must meet one of the following criteria:
1. You’re currently an undergraduate studying at University and returning to full time education in Autumn 2027
2. You’re looking to gain work experience after completing your A-Levels, an equivalent course or an Apprenticeship
Additionally, you must be eligible to work in the UK without restriction for the duration of the internship from Monday 29th June 2026 – Friday 23rd July 2027.

What will I be doing?
NBCUniversal is a leader in delivering entertainment programming to the US & international marketplaces. Its Television Distribution division is responsible for the global distribution of NBCUniversal products to all forms of television throughout the world. This includes distribution of current and library films & TV series in the Pay, Free, Basic and New Media markets.
3. Using in-house database systems to produce reports listing available product across all programming including Feature Films, Scripted Series, Non-Scripted Series, Documentaries and TV/Film Specials including creating curated lists for clients upon request.
4. Regularly updating clients with product information & pro-actively gathering customer feedback.
5. Liaising with clients with respect to product queries.
6. Supporting Sales Administrator throughout deal admin lifecycle including inputting in internal systems & updating clients on deal updates/changes when required
7. Work closely with several internal departments including Marketing team to ensure client support & provision of marketing materials, Distribution team regarding supply of broadcast materials to clients, Finance team regarding payment & billing queries and Legal team to ensure contracts are signed.
8. Maintaining internal tracking documents for upcoming TV series to enable team focus on key Sales opportunities
9. Creation of presentation decks and ad-hoc analysis, liaising with Business Development, Marketing & Product teams as required
10. Assisting with ad-hoc office, diary and travel management as required
11. Ad hoc projects
What will I learn from this opportunity?
12. Understanding of the work of a Sales team of a major film & TV studio, and the structure of the Film & TV Licensing deal negotiation process.
13. Understanding of the UK Media Market and insight into the needs of clients (channels & platforms) regarding content and rights acquisition.
14. Detailed knowledge of different product types distributed by NBCUniversal, including the lifecycle from Theatrical release/original broadcast to library.
15. Insight into Sales Strategy, Budgeting and Legal processes.
16. Contact with clients in multiple markets.
Qualifications
What do I need to bring to the role?
17. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
18. Strong organizational skills: reliable, detail focused, strong sense of initiative with the ability to multitask
19. Able to balance and prioritise a busy workload in a fast-moving environment
20. Proactive and solution focused individual with a positive attitude
21. Great interpersonal skills
22. Ability to work independently yet as an integral part of a close-knit team, in a hybrid office/home environment.
