Key Responsibilities
* Differentiated Pupil Support: Deliver targeted, one:on:one, and small:group interventions for children across the SEN spectrum.
* Curriculum Alignment: Collaborate effectively with teaching staff to ensure seamless execution of Pupil Passports and learning objectives.
* Learning Environment Cultivation: Actively contribute to maintaining a positive, structured, and orderly classroom setting.
* Academic Assistance: Aid in preparing educational materials and meticulously documenting student progress and behavioural development.
* Emotional Guidance: Serve as a reliable role model and mentor, helping students develop social skills, confidence, and independence.
Requirements
* Sector Experience: A proven track record of at least six months working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or similar support staff in a primary or secondary UK school.
* Core Disposition: Must demonstrate a patient, enthusiastic, and profoundly nurturing approach to working with children with complex needs.
* Essential Skillset: Excellent verbal and written communication, a strong aptitude for teamwork, and superb time management/organisational abilities.
* Compliance Check: Possession of an up:to:date Enhanced DBS certificate is mandatory, or a clear willingness straight away.
* Added Advantage: Direct experience supporting specific needs like Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), or Emotional/Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) is highly valued.
