Role Overview
As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you’ll support pupils’ learning, wellbeing, and daily routines—drawing directly on your care experience. Working closely with teachers, you will help children build confidence, develop key skills, and flourish in a nurturing and structured classroom environment.
The school provides full support and training for individuals transitioning from care work into education.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual needs
* Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
* Support daily routines and encourage positive behaviour
* Adapt activities to help children access learning
* Assist teachers during lessons and classroom activities
* Help maintain a calm, inclusive, and safe learning environment
* Observe and report on pupil progress and wellbeing

Ideal Candidate
* Experience working in a care, residential, or community support setting
* A patient, kind, and proactive approach
* Confidence supporting individuals with varying needs
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Willingness to learn and grow within a school environment
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
No previous school experience is required—training will be provided.
