JOB ROLE: Senior Support Worker

LOCATION: Rhoose, Barry (CF62)

PAY RATE: £14.40 - £15.00* per hour

HOURS: 35 hours a week

SHIFTS: 7:30am – 8:00pm OR 9:30am – 10:00pm OR 8:00pm – 7:30am

Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership and guidance to a team of Support Workers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care to adults in supported living environments.
Promote independence, dignity, and well-being for individuals with a variety of care needs.
Support individuals with daily tasks such as personal care, household duties, budgeting, and accessing community activities.
Assist with the development and implementation of individual care plans.
Liaise with external agencies and professionals to ensure individuals receive the best possible care.
Take part in team meetings, supervision sessions, and provide coaching and mentoring to Support Workers.

Key Requirements

Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience as a Support Worker in an adult care setting.
A Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is essential, as travel between locations is required.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to working with vulnerable adults.
Experience in supervising or leading a team.
