Hospital at Home - Dietitian
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the NHS Forth Valley Dietetic Team to provide the dietetic input to the Hospital at Home Service. Applications are welcome from HCPC Registered Dietitians who are committed to service improvement and collaboration to achieve high quality patient care.
The Hospital at Home Service is a multidisciplinary integrated team providing a high level of care for frail older people in a person’s home or homely environment, equivalent to that provided within an acute setting. The team manages a virtual ward with daily virtual ward rounds.
This post offers the opportunity to work within a well‑formed MDT and requires the post holder to have excellent wide‑ranging clinical dietetic experience, team working skills and interpersonal skills. Experience of both acute and community dietetics would be advantageous along with experience in care of older adults / frailty services.
The post holder would provide the dietetic clinical input and would be expected to plan and deliver appropriate training and education to the wider team, patients and carers. The post is professionally supported by the Acute Dietetic Department at FVRH. The post holder would be required to deliver a Health Board wide service within the Hospital at Home team.
The successful applicant will possess excellent communication skills and have relevant experience and a demonstrated interest in care of older adults / frailty / rehabilitation / multi‑agency working. They must be committed to personal development and be able to work as part of a proactive team. The post holder would be expected to actively contribute to departmental activities e.g. student training, department meetings and when necessary, provide some cover to other clinical areas.

This post sits within the wider Clinical Dietetic Service in NHS Forth Valley which has 42 Dietitians and 4 Dietetic Assistants and offers excellent peer support and development opportunities.
