Staff Nurse – Endoscopy, Fairfield General Hospital
Band 5 Staff Nurse in the Endoscopy Unit. Must deliver high‑quality therapeutic and diagnostic endoscopic procedures for both inpatients and outpatients.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high‑quality therapeutic and diagnostic endoscopic procedures to inpatients and outpatients.
* Participate in an out‑of‑hours on‑call gastrointestinal bleed rota.
* Support and coordinate the unit during day shift and on‑call periods.
Required Qualifications & Registration
* Degree / Diploma in Nursing studies or equivalent.
* Registered Nurse with current NMC registration (Part 1 Adult / General Level 1 or 2).
Essential Experience
* Evidence of ongoing personal and professional development.
* Demonstrated knowledge of the specialty.
* Proven post‑registration experience.
* Experience of coordinating a department on a session‑by‑session basis.
Desirable Experience
* Evidence of having undertaken relevant further study or training as required for the post.
* Recognised teaching qualification.
* Relevant experience working within an endoscopy or theatre environment.
* Willingness to undertake relevant further study as required for the post.
Skills and Abilities
* Good communication skills (written & verbal).
* Team leadership skills.
* IT skills.

* Band: 5
* Salary: £32,073 to £39,043 a year (per annum).
* Contract: Permanent
* Working pattern: Full‑time, Part‑time
