Offer description

Seasalt Falmouth, England, United Kingdom

4 days ago | Be among the first 25 applicants

Our first shop opened in 1981 in Penzance, selling durable clothing to artists and mariners. Today, we’re a modern, data‑enabled omnichannel retailer with a growing international presence. We blend heritage with innovation, designing timely clothing made from responsibly sourced fabrics, and using technology to improve how we operate, grow and serve customers.

As we scale in the UK, North America and Europe (primarily through third‑party partnerships), we’re investing in data, systems and digital capability to support our people and our growth. It’s an exciting time to join us!

As our Digital Trade Assistant, you’ll play an important part in keeping our websites running smoothly across the UK and international markets. You’ll help make sure products are set up correctly, presented clearly and updated on time so customers can find what they’re looking for. You’ll work closely with the Digital Trading Manager and teams across content, marketing, user experience and merchandising to support day‑to‑day trading activity.

This role is an exciting opportunity for someone building their career in e‑commerce and keen to learn how online trading, merchandising and digital performance all come together to drive sales.

Full‑time, permanent role. As part of our Seasalt Connected approach to ways of working, this role will be based flexibly across our Cornwall head office locations (minimum 40% of working week but the nature of some roles may require more working time in our head offices) and remotely within the UK.

Responsibilities

* Setting up new products and keeping product details, categories, images and descriptions accurate and up to date.
* Supporting on‑site merchandising, including product placement, category updates and featured collections.
* Working with the Digital Content Manager to maintain and optimise product content and assets.

* Using website performance data to spot trends, highlight issues and recommend improvements.
* Working with the user experience team to help identify, test and implement website enhancements.
* Keeping an eye on stock levels and adjusting key pages or imagery where needed.
* Sharing stock and trading priorities with the wider e‑commerce team to ensure the site reflects customer needs.
* Tailoring trading activity for international markets by understanding customer behaviour across regions.
* Carrying out regular competitor checks and reviewing our own site to ensure everything is displaying and functioning correctly.
* Highlighting insights from product reviews or customer feedback to improve content or merchandising.
* Supporting small development or content related fixes by testing and reporting back to the team.

Skills and Experience Required

* Relevant degree (e.g. business management, digital, data analytics or a related field) or equivalent professional experience in an office‑based or retail environment.
* Hands‑on experience using website analytics tools, including Google Analytics.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
* Strong familiarity with key e‑commerce measures such as conversion rate, average order value, traffic and revenue.
* Demonstrated ability to analyse data, spot performance trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
* Experience working cross‑functionally with different teams or departments.
* Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach.
* Strong organisational skills, able to manage tasks and deadlines in a fast‑moving environment.
* Self‑motivated to learn, adapt and develop within a growing e‑commerce team.

Benefits

* Salary: Up to £25,750 dependent on experience (Band 1)
* 34 days paid annual leave (including bank holidays), increasing with length of service
* Attractive 50% employee discount
* Flexible benefits allowance to personalise your benefits package
