We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Senior Finance Administrator to join our team in Radlett. This is a vital position responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations across our multi-site care home business.
Key Responsibilities
* Financial Accounting & Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with UK GAAP; maintain and reconcile the general ledger across all sites; develop accounting policies and oversee the annual audit process.
* Multi-Site Financial Management: Implement robust financial controls across care homes; consolidate financial data from multiple sites; monitor site-level financial performance and support care home managers with budgets and compliance.
* Management Accounting & Analysis: Produce monthly management accounts with variance analysis and commentary; support budgeting and forecasting in collaboration with department heads; provide financial insight to support decision-making; liaise with tax advisors to manage tax compliance.
* Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the finance team; allocate tasks, conduct performance reviews, and support team development.
* Process Improvement & Systems: Streamline accounting processes and improve financial systems; ensure data accuracy and stay informed of changes in accounting standards.
* Stakeholder Management: Communicate financial data clearly to both internal and external stakeholders; experience dealing with private equity and financial institutions is beneficial.
Requirements
* Qualifications & Experience: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with 35 years of post-qualification experience.
* Experience in a multi-site environment (healthcare or care homes is a plus).
* Strong understanding of UK GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting systems.
* Advanced Excel skills and experience with Xero (2 years preferred).
* Proven ability to manage and develop a finance team.
