About us
Student and Registry Services (SRS) are responsible for providing services to all students throughout their time at UCL and for supporting academic departments and administrative staff in delivering a high-quality student experience. We also play a key role in coordinating UCL's governance processes and academic quality assurance operations. UCL Student Support and Wellbeing Services (SSWS) provides information, advice and welfare support for all registered students, including delivery of related student events.
About the role
The Head of Student Support and Wellbeing (Service Excellence) is a vital leadership role within SSWS, overseeing two primary functions of the department: Student Support and Enquiries and Specialist Advice and Casework Services. This position provides strategic direction in driving continuous improvement initiatives across the SSWS department, including service consolidation and functional reviews.

To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate a proven ability to be proactive, non-judgmental, and capable of fostering positive working relationships both within and outside of UCL.
To excel in this role, you should have experience of driving high-performing and customer focused teams, be able to demonstrate sound judgement under pressure, and be a leader with the ability to motivate staff.
