We are seeking an experienced Dietetic lead to join our friendly, supportive team as a Service lead for Acute Nutrition support, providing 12 months maternity cover. You will collaborate closely with acute Dietetic leads, CNS nutrition nurses, professional practice nurses, and the Malnutrition strategic lead to embed Malnutrition as a key priority across acute pathways Health Board wide.
You will manage a team of Clinical Lead Dietitians working in Acute Nutrition support HB wide, lead recruitment, development plans, and workforce opportunities. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential, along with collaboration with Consultants, senior Nurses, pharmacy colleagues, and procurement to ensure safe practice in Acute Nutrition support.
A key aspect of this role is developing, implementing, and evaluating Nutrition support teams HB wide to optimize patient care and safety, aligned with NICE Clinical guideline 32 (2007). You will set the strategic direction for Acute nutrition support and support clinical leads with performance reporting. Passion for workforce wellbeing, professional development, innovation, transformation, and quality improvement is vital.
You will work closely with the clinical lead for Acute nutrition support (critical care) at Glangwili Hospital and our acute clinical leads HB wide. Extensive knowledge and experience in acute nutrition support are required, including sharing a caseload of complex patients on our 18-bed critical care unit.
