Head chef / kitchen manager needed for small care home.
We offer you the opportunity of full control in our kitchen where you will be able to use your creative influence to plan, prepare and create nutritious menus for our residents to enjoy.
Hours will be 07:30 - 13:30 plus additional allowance for planning/ shopping/ ordering etc.
You will be working alone in the kitchen with assistance of carers to deliver meals to residents. You will be responsible for setting the rota and be expected to work 4-5 days per week including alternate weekends with your kitchen colleagues.
You will have a personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents. Ideally you will have experience in running a care home kitchen and working with a small team but full training can be provided for the right person.
You will have a good understanding of nutrition, HACCP food safety with knowledge of the IDDSI framework.
You will be in charge of menu development, with freedom to tailor menus around residents and to ensure we deliver person centred hospitality.
