Lead Software Engineer – Guidewire
Role responsibilities:
1. Set technical direction and influence multiple teams to improve engineering practices and skills.
2. Align work with business and engineering priorities to achieve meaningful impact.
3. Build, maintain, and utilize partnerships to optimize resource use.
4. Oversee analysis, design, development, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting for high-visibility tasks.
5. Apply industry trends and techniques to develop solutions for engineering problems.
6. Lead a team by providing performance feedback, coaching, and mentorship to foster a collaborative environment and ensure adherence to standards.
7. Possess extensive programming experience and strong technical leadership background.
8. Deliver high-quality software, assess design strategies, and ensure system robustness and quality.
9. Consult on business priorities, identify solutions, and introduce industry concepts and technologies.
10. Develop architecture that is robust and resilient, turning future needs into actionable plans.
11. Communicate effectively, document thoroughly, and collaborate across groups.
12. Lead and develop others, sharing knowledge and creating growth opportunities.
Skills required:
1. Strong Guidewire experience, especially with PolicyCenter and/or Claim Center.
2. Previous technical leadership experience.
