Electrical Project Manager - Heavy Industrial New‑Build (North Wales) Type: Permanent Location: North Wales (site‑based) The opportunity Join a long‑term, complex new‑build programme in North Wales and lead the electrical installation package end‑to‑end. You’ll own HSE, quality, commercial and project‑controls delivery; planning pre‑mobilisation, validating budgets, deploying labour and subcontractors, and driving schedule performance in a safety‑critical, heavy‑industrial environment. What you’ll be doing * Pre‑mobilisation: prepare HSE Plan, Quality Plan, RAMS and ITPs; set up reporting structures and progress measurement. * Programme & delivery: build and maintain an electrical package programme fully coordinated with overall milestones; identify workfronts; remove blockers to meet dates. * Commercial & controls: validate budgets; track man‑hours vs norms, installed quantities and earned progress; produce monthly applications; manage cost/WIP and change. * Change management: submit Early Warnings and Variations for scope growth; keep the client informed with clear cause‑and‑effect analysis. * Procurement & subcontractors: lead tender evaluation/selection, place and administer subcontracts, forecast and manage performance through to close‑out. * Quality & inspections: oversee installation quality, witness tests, maintain evidence packs and handover documentation to the client’s standards. * HSEQ leadership: manage project health & safety with the HSE Manager; ensure methods of work are current, efficient and compliant with company/client policies. * Interfaces & reporting: chair internal weekly meetings; attend client progress meetings; issue daily/weekly/monthly reports (HSE / Procurement / Project Controls / Commercial / Quality / Engineering / Construction). * People & organisation: set a clear structure, delegate effectively, and mentor junior/intermediate staff. What you’ll need * 10 years’ construction experience with 5 years in a leadership role (or degree‑qualified engineer with 10 years’ project experience). * Strong background in electrical installation for large industrial builds; experience in Oil & Gas, Power Generation or heavy industrial is preferred. * Solid contractual knowledge (e.g., NEC / FIDIC) and confident client correspondence. * Proven project‑controls competence: estimating, scheduling, progress measurement, cost control, change management, monthly applications. * Strong construction safety knowledge and track record. * SMSTS (or equivalent) and relevant electrical qualifications; First Aid/IOSH/NEBOSH desirable. * Proficient with Primavera P6 / Microsoft Project, Excel, and standard reporting tools. * Full UK driving licence and ability to commute/lodge as needed
