About The Role
To provide support and oversight of the Portfolio ensuring visibility of spend, status and risks alongside the provision of MI to the insight team. Providing support services to the Portfolio and Programme managers contributing to the successful delivery of change projects/programmes. Linked to our Bournemouth offices, we offer hybrid working but would like to see you in the offices weekly (happy to discuss).
This is a 12 month fixed term contract (salaried) which could potentially be extended.
Key Accountabilities
• Day to day execution of the Programme Office Function in relation to delivering portfolio support.
• Providing support and guidance to project and programme managers at pre-inception, initiation & throughout the life cycle of the programme, ensuring common approach is adopted & sharing good practice.
• Check adherence to strategy/programme objectives and compliance to business change process, strengthening governance across the portfolio.
• Provide visibility of progress, status and other KPI’s as deemed appropriate, for Exec reporting and further decisions.
• Production of financial management information.
• Working with the PMO team, identify opportunities to continuously improve ways of working.
• Delivery of small/medium projects or small pieces of change as agreed.
• Ensure core Programme Office tools are maintained with data integrity paramount.
Skills & Experience.
* Good Understanding of project methodology and life cycle gained as either a Project Manager or PMO.
* Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external customers.
* Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
* Experience of working in a busy environment whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy and meeting tight deadlines.
* Ability to continuously prioritise and adapt to a changing environment.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel spreadsheets.
* Understanding of the core PMO tools and importance of data integrity as well as project lifecycle and impact of change.
