Overview
St Ann's and Alderney Hospital are looking for an experienced Chef who is passionate about food and wants to make a difference. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence, strong leadership abilities, problem solving skills, and the ability to build relationships.
As Chef Manager you will have full operational control and financial responsibility including the staff dining rooms for the two sites, reporting into the area facilities manager.

Responsibilities
* Supervise and support the two catering teams, ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly.
* Recruit, manage and train catering teams.
* Plan menus, orders, deliveries and manage budget control.
* Manage food safety, Health & Safety, COSHH and allergen legislation.
Requirements
* Desirable – Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate or willingness to undertake.
* Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food production and culinary techniques.
* Excellent leadership and supervisory skills.
* Understanding of HACCP, allergen regulations, COSHH.
* IT skills / computer competence.

* Educated to NVQ level 3 or equivalent plus knowledge for special diets via training and experience
