Amazon is seeking a Business Analyst to join the Abuse Prevention vertical of the India Returns team. The team's focus is on eliminating abuse and misuse related to customer returns and rejects, thereby improving the India business P&L. This role involves providing analytics support for product managers and business intelligence engineers for key strategic priorities.
The position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proficient in SQL (Python is a plus), and motivated to deliver insightful, timely data-driven insights. Strong analytical, communication skills, and the ability to simplify complex processes are essential. The candidate should also be capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Own the production and delivery of analytics reports and dashboards used for key business decisions.
2. Build data structures, transformation processes, and load jobs in Redshift; process and present data in Excel.
3. Debug report issues and unblock workflows.
4. Communicate with the Product team and stakeholders to provide status updates.
5. Publish automated dashboards and create reports by extracting, transforming, and loading data into optimized tables.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, statistics, computer science, or a related field.
* At least 1 year of experience in business analysis involving large, complex datasets.
* Experience with data warehousing, database administration, and migration.
* Proficiency in dashboarding tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Excel, and PowerPivots.
* Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
* Ability to manage and prioritize workload effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of scripting for automation (e.g., VB Script, Python, Perl, Ruby) is a plus.
