Role Overview
We are seeking a Lead Field Service Engineer to oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of Rapiscan products across the UK and EMEA. In addition to hands-on technical work, you will manage a regional team of 5–10 Field Service Engineers, ensuring exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction.
The role will be covering the Heathrow area and South Regions on occasions,
Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate a regional team of Field Service Engineers in daily service activities.
* - Manage administrative tasks including stock control, preventive maintenance schedules, and shift rotas.
* - Act as the primary point of contact for customer liaison and issue resolution.
* - Communicate service updates and documentation effectively to the team via meetings, calls, and emails.
* - Conduct annual performance reviews and support continuous professional development.
* - Maintain accurate training records and ensure timely re-certifications.
* - Collaborate with senior management on initiatives and report achievements and concerns.
* - Promote a culture of safety and compliance, including risk assessments.
Qualifications
* Strong technical background with leadership aspirations—training and mentoring provided.
* - Excellent communication, organisational, and administrative skills.
* - Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
* - Solid electronics and computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office proficiency.
* - Extensive experience supporting field-based teams servicing high-tech security systems.
* - Recognised engineering qualifications (BTEC, City & Guilds HNC or equivalent).
