Job description:
We seek a dedicated Early Years Trainee Practitioner (Apprentice) to join our team at a vibrant nursery initially on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a passion for childcare and early childhood education, strong communication skills, and the ability to plan and manage experiences for young children.
Please note that the position is for an experienced candidate who has current experience within a nursery setting. The applicant must be willing to undertake their SVQ training as part of the Apprentice position. Hour rate will start at £7.55 per hour, increasing to £8 per hour from April.
Duties:
- Plan and deliver engaging experiences suitable for early years children aged 0-5 years.
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and develop
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Provide support in guiding children's behaviour and social development
- Know the curriculum relevant to the age group (Pre-Birth to Three / Curriculum for Excellence)
- Support colleagues with daily routines and experiences within the nursery setting
Qualifications:
- Experience working with young children in an early years setting
- Be working towards or willing to undertake a childcare qualification in Early Childhood Education
- Proficient in English language, both spoken and written
