Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Theatre Support Workerband 2/3 (on completion of cares certificate) to join our theatres team to work at Mount Vernon Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
* The post holder will work as part of a team to provide a safe, cost effective, efficient care environment for patients, relatives and carers.
* Function clinically within the Theatres Department and other associated areas as required.
* Actively involved in providing supervision and guidance to junior or less experienced health care support assistants and care support workers.
* Perform circulating duties for a defined range of surgical procedures and be competency assessed.
* Complete competency based assessment training as part of the theatre department induction programme.
* Maintain own personal and professional development with the support of the Practice Development Lead Nurse.
* Demonstrate commitment to Trust CARES Values and Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers and Adult Social Care Workers in England.
