Job Duties:
1. Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and effective lessons in Humanities subjects
2. Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide feedback
3. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
4. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching methods and resources
5. Participate in school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development opportunities
Required Qualifications:
6. A recognised teaching qualification
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
8. Specialisation in Humanities subjects
Education:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or relevant field
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Humanities subjects
Knowledge and Skills:
9. Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum
10. Effective classroom management skills
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
12. Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners
Preferred Qualifications:
13. Postgraduate qualification in Education
14. Experience working with Key Stage 3 and 4 students
Working Conditions:
Typical working hours are Monday to Friday, with occasional evening or weekend commitments for school events. Classroom-based teaching with opportunities for extracurricular involvement.
