JDR Recruitment are looking for Cleaners with a DBS check to work at a school in the Alnwick area.
Candidates must have an enhanced DBS check.
Role Purpose
To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment throughout the school, ensuring classrooms, communal areas, and facilities are presented to a high standard for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
General Cleaning Duties
* Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors.
* Dust and wipe all surfaces, including desks, shelves, and equipment.
* Clean windows, glass panels, and internal doors where required.
* Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and appropriately.
* Replenish consumables such as soap, paper towels, toilet rolls.
* Report any damage, hazards, or maintenance issues to the Site Manager.
Toilets & Washrooms
* Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, cubicles, and washroom surfaces.
* Ensure washrooms are stocked and hygienic throughout the shift.
Classrooms, Offices & Hallways
* Clean desks, chairs, and touchpoints (door handles, light switches).
* Vacuum carpets and clean hard floors.
* Wipe whiteboards and tidy general areas as required.
Kitchens, Dining Areas & Staff Rooms
* Wipe tables, counters, and food preparation areas.
* Remove food waste and clean floors.
* Maintain hygiene standards in line with school policies.

Person Specification
* Previous cleaning experience (school or commercial environment beneficial).
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Understanding of basic cleaning procedures and safe use of chemicals.
* Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
* Good understanding of health & safety and hygiene standards.
* Enhanced DBS check
Shift Times & Pay Rate
* Monday - Friday 3pm - 6pm
* £13.21 per hour
