Wildlife Officer
Blackpool Council have an exciting opportunity to recruit a dedicated wildlife officer to work alongside the Parks and Public Protection Teams.
This role is crucial for effectively addressing the increasing concerns related to the protection and conservation of wildlife within our parks and green open spaces.
The council are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, experienced individual with the skills to respond promptly and effectively to wildlife emergencies, implement enforcement regulations in respect of Public Space Protection Orders and liaise with the community, local businesses, and other stakeholders regarding wildlife issues in Blackpool, fostering better community engagement and collaboration on wildlife conservation efforts in Blackpool.
Responsibilities
* Respond promptly and effectively to wildlife emergencies.
* Implement enforcement regulations in respect of Public Space Protection Orders.
* Liaise with the community, local businesses, and other stakeholders regarding wildlife issues in Blackpool.
* Foster better community engagement and collaboration on wildlife conservation efforts in Blackpool.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Enthusiastic, experienced individual with the skills to address wildlife issues and emergencies.
* Ability to work with councils, communities and partner organisations to support wildlife protection and conservation.
Additional Information
The successful applicant will be required to work outside of the 7am to 8pm Monday to Friday work pattern and will receive an additional payment on top of the quoted salary as a result.
