An exciting opportunity has arisen to become part of the Plymouth Safeguarding Children Partnership (PSCP) Business Unit as a Safeguarding Support Assistant. This is a fantastic role for someone who thrives in a purposeful environment and wants their work to directly contribute to improving outcomes for children and young people across Plymouth. Working closely with the Partnership Business Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering high‑quality, efficient safeguarding support. You’ll help drive forward the PSCP’s vision and objectives, ensuring the partnership runs smoothly and effectively. What you’ll be doing Providing administrative and organisational support to PSCP subgroups. Coordinating and maintaining systems, processes, and documentation to support daily operations. Supporting the management of projects and safeguarding activities. Administering child safeguarding practice reviews with accuracy and confidentiality. Managing multiple inboxes, calendars, and communications through Outlook. Creating and maintaining spreadsheets, agendas, and documents using Microsoft Office. Using Microsoft Teams confidently for meetings and collaboration. Applying AI tools to streamline and enhance administrative tasks. What we’re looking for Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Confident use of Microsoft Teams. An understanding of how AI can support administrative work. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. A proactive, solution‑focused approach. Someone who enjoys working both independently and as part of a supportive team. Enhanced DBS (in date or on update service) Working pattern 22.5 hours per week Hybrid working: at least 1 day per week in the office, with the remaining days flexible and meeting‑dependent.
