London Fire Brigade (LFB) is London's fire and rescue service – one of the largest firefighting and rescue organisations in the world. We are here to make London a safer city. Employing over 5000 people across our operational team (our firefighters), control (our call handlers who answer 999 calls), fire safety and our non-operational team (our team who work behind the scenes to support our front-line services, which includes Fleet, IT, HR, Finance, Procurement, Communications team and many more).
An exciting vacancy has arisen at the LFB for a Project Support Officer to work within the New Headquarters Project Team which forms part of LFB's Property Department and is responsible for delivering new headquarters accommodation beyond the expiry of the lease for the current premises in 2027.
Role Overview
As a project Support Officer within the LFB New HQ Project Team, you will support the delivery of a building project which provides a modern workplace for LFB, meeting project objectives and supporting LFB values as well as assisting the team in managing a smooth transition to the new accommodation.
Responsibilities
Full responsibilities are indicated in the job description and include:
* Project Management support: Assist in management of the project including project reporting, governance, finance, risk and interdependencies, maintaining management processes and systems.
* Administration: assist with team administration including recruitment, organising meetings and events and managing diaries as required.
* Resource Management: Assist in the optimisation of resource utilisation.
* Requirements gathering; Work with the rest of the team to gather and record business requirements.

Assessment Overview
Stage 1
