Laboratory Support Co-ordinator
We have anexcellent opportunity for an experienced biomedical scientist or application support scientist to work as a Laboratory Support Coordinator – Applications. This exciting position is part of field support in thepany, responsible for technical service cover primarily focused on centralised solutions – biochemistry instruments.
This is an opportunity to join a team of 7 specialists covering primarily the greater London region with occasional support for the rest of the south region of England. This team play a key part in the implementation of installation projects, troubleshooting investigations and customer training, building strong customer relationships to help deliver a high standard of service.
As a Laboratory Support Coordinator - Applications, you will undertake a variety of user support functions including:
1. Installation and support on our systems
2. Customer training
3. Troubleshooting, sales and customer support
4. Software modifications and product maintenance
5. Assist with tender responses and product demonstrations
The role covers sites within the London area. There will be a requirement for off-territory support with travel within the South region primarily, with some UK cover and also to thepany's Head Office in Burgess Hill. The successful candidate should be prepared to stay away from home in hotels when required, although this will not be routine.
Who you are
6. You need to possess a thorough understanding of the IVD industry and have experience in implementing best-in-class laboratory practices either from a hospital laboratory or at similar diagnostics solution providers.
7. You will have the ability to provide effective support for pathology laboratory solutions and excel in the art of troubleshooting.
8. You should take ownership and pride in your work and the ability to plan your work schedule and travel arrangements autonomously.
9. You will be required to maintain individual skills and technical knowledge and develop a relationship with customers to enhance the reputation and professionalism of thepany.
10. The successful candidate should be motivated by exceeding customer expectations, with the capability of working with minimum supervision and managing your time effectively.
