Job Overview As a Finance Business Partner in a large, complex matrix organisation, you will act as a key link between the finance function and multiple business units. You will provide insightful financial analysis, strategic guidance, and commercial support to drive business performance and enable sound decision-making. This role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, translating financial data into actionable insights to support long-term planning and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Partner with business leaders and functional heads to deliver financial insight, analysis, and forecasting that supports strategic decision-making. Work with Vehicle Sourcing, Operations and Sales teams to maximise dismantled vehicles margins, including Inventory valuation. Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for designated business areas, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and timelines. Provide variance analysis and commentary on financial performance, highlighting risks, opportunities, and corrective actions. Collaborate across multiple departments (e.g. operations, commercial, HR) to influence financial outcomes and drive efficiency initiatives. Translate complex financial information into clear and concise reports and presentations for non-finance stakeholders. Support investment appraisal, business case development, and post-investment reviews. Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of planning, reporting, and performance management processes. Ensure financial compliance, controls, and governance are upheld across business activities. Act as a liaison between corporate finance and business units to ensure consistency in financial practices and policies. Skills And Experience Qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with post-qualification experience. Experience in a Finance Business Partner or similar role within a large, matrixed or multinational organisation. Strong analytical, modelling, and commercial acumen. Ability to influence, challenge, and collaborate with senior stakeholders in a cross-functional environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to simplify complex data and communicate effectively to non-financial audiences. Proficient in financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion) and advanced Excel skills; familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is advantageous. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
