Position: Housing Assistant - Neighbourhoods
Grade: Grade C: £25,948.96 - £25,989 per annum (pay award pending)

Responsibilities
The Housing Department are looking for a self‑motivated individual with a confident and professional approach to deliver a range of Neighbourhoods services within the Tenancy Services Section.
The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Neighbourhoods Team and will be expected to deliver a high quality professional service, be responsible for the delivery of Neighbourhood Services and conducting home tenancy visits as required.
The post holder will also be expected to support and ensure an effective day‑to‑day administration service is delivered and be responsible for front‑line day‑to‑day work and providing assistance to the Neighbourhood Officers.
Responsibilities include undertaking a wide range of tasks in respect of the Council’s Housing Stock, including answering front‑line telephone calls and providing reception cover.
Qualifications and Experience
Experience of frontline customer service – face‑to‑face interviews, telephone contact and letter writing; experience of routine office administration systems is essential.
Ability to use Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to establish good working relationships with a wide range of people and organisations.
Relevant knowledge and awareness of issues affecting vulnerable people and understanding of sustaining tenancies with the needs of a diverse community.
GCSEs in Mathematics and English at Grade C or above or equivalent vocational or academic experience.
